Coconut Club Vacations Reviews the FarmCoastHave you even heard of the FarmCoast? Created by a group of merchants from a few small communities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the Farm Coast began as a marketing concept and developed into one of the many fast growing regions for travel in New England. Less than an hour from Boston, the FarmCoast is filled with quaint small towns, unique shops, fine dining, beautiful beaches, amazing views and a rich history. From wine and beer to art and history, the FarmCoast is an amazing place to relax and enjoy all that makes the coast of New England special.

The FarmCoast is made up of several small communities including Tiverton, Tiverton Four Corners, Little Comptom, Adamsville, Westport, Dartmouth, Russell’s Mills and Padanaram. Each unique and offering its own appeal, these communities range in size and all afford a host of amenities, conveniences and of course, charm.

People visiting the Farmcoast are presented with a variety of opportunities in terms of things to see and do any time of the year. For foodies, the FarmCoast is more than just a place to swing by but presents a multitude of options in terms of what to eat and drink. From seasonal farm stands to farm to table restaurants, you will be hard pressed to find an area who loves food more and knows how to do it better. Fresh Oysters in Westport, locally raised pig, lamb and chicken in Dartmouth or fresh baked goods in Little Compton are just a few of the things you won’t want to miss.

For those who prefer to imbibe, the local wine and beer scene is fantastic and features some of the finest wines in the region. Carolyn’s Sakonnet Vineyard, part of the Coastal Wine Trail, can be found in Little Compton and features a tasting room, a café and even live performances by a number of musicians throughout the summer season. For beer, head to Buzzards Bay Brewing in Westport for a taste of some amazing American grown ales.

Traveling with children? You will find plenty to see and do here outdoors as well including fishing, biking, kayaking, horseback riding and even ballooning. Beachcombing is another way to enjoy the lovely sunshine of summer and the beautiful beaches. The Sakonnet Farm is another destination your family won’t want to miss. A family run farm, this great destination features a market, educational programs, fun annual events and even farmstays.

A world apart from everyday life for most of us, this small piece of heaven is reserved for anyone willing to make the journey. Find out what you have been missing and head to coastal New England and the FarmCoast on your vacation.
